In remodeling, things don’t always go perfectly because humans are involved-but what matters is how a company responds.

We're Your Neighbors. Not Just A Contractor

Houston isn’t just where we work-it’s our home.

We don’t just install windows-we protect homes, families, and peace of mind.

Recapping the Steps

  1. What is your need vs want? Paying the electrical company a lot money? Need protection from hurricanes? Too noisy (e.g., you live on a major road)? Or are you simply ready to improve the look and feel of your home? Whatever the reason, it starts with asking the right questions with i-Window Remodeling.
  2. What frame material fits your lifestyle? Vinyl, composite / fiberglass, aluminum, or wood; each has its pros and can impact look, durability, and cost. Here at i-Window Remodeling we offer all types of windows to meet all design need and avoid the need to be bias towards one style vs another.
  3. Which window style works best for your space? Double hung, single hung, picture windows, or something custom for your home’s layout and design? i-Window Remodeling is uniquely positioned to solve any problem and install all shapes. We have the capability to expand a rough opening if needed, and manage all aspect of the install including brick work, sheet/rock, siding, painting, electrical, piping, reframing, and more.
  4. How important is energy efficiency to you? Consider options like double-pane glass, Low-E coatings, and Argon gas to help lower utility bills and increase comfort. Here at i-Window Remodeling, we only carry dual pane glass with Low-E films. Our windows can achieve the most energy efficiency rating in Texas at sub 0.2 SHGC. We will recommend the right solution for you; nonetheless, i-Window Remodeling will only recommend what you need and explain the recommendation (for example, we will not recommend a triple pane window where you don’t need it)!
  5. Will the installation be done with care and respect for your home? From moving furniture and removing blinds to insulation, spray foaming and glass safety; you deserve a clean, professional experience. i-Window Remodeling has the #1 install rating in Houston supported by our 5-star rating, recommendation by Cornerstone Building Brands and having own in-house install team (family) backed by a $2M insurance policy.
  6. Can you count on the manufacturer’s warranty? Leading names like Simonton, Andersen, MI, NT, and ProVia stand behind their products for years to come. i-Window Remodeling offers labor warranty as well transferrable warranty.

FAQ

At i-Window Remodeling, we offer some of the highest quality windows and doors in the market, all backed by industry-leading lifetime warranties. Our mission is to give Houston homeowners the best combination of performance, beauty, and value with options for every style and budget.

We proudly partner with Cornerstone Building Brands, a $5.5 billion company, to bring you Simonton Windows, consistently rated #1 in energy efficiency. For entry doors, we offer ProVia, known for their craftsmanship and top-of-the-line, secure, and elegant designs.

We are also an authorized Andersen dealer, carrying both:

  • Composite Fibrex windows, a beautiful and durable option that combines the strength of wood with the low maintenance of vinyl.

  • Wood-clad windows, perfect for historical homes or specialty applications where authenticity and timeless design matter.

For homeowners looking for Texas-built quality, we carry NT Windows, a local producer of high-quality aluminum products featuring the TwinSlator thermal break system, which delivers excellent strength, durability, and energy performance.

We also offer Westlake Legacy Windows, manufactured right here in Houston, just down the street from our shop. These are superior products that combine great performance, lifetime warranties, and excellent pricing, making them a true hometown solution.

At i-Window Remodeling, we do not limit you to one brand or one type of product. We curate the best from across the industry so you get the right fit for your home, your style, and your budget, always with value without compromise.

We are a local family business, backed by the largest exterior building product manufacturer in the US. We are licensed, insured, have a local office, have a dependable installation crew (not only subs) and offer a lifetime warranty.

Renewal by Andersen is a well-known national franchise with strong brand recognition, but at i-Window Remodeling we give Houston homeowners the same premium quality: without the premium price tag. You don’t need to spend $3,000–$4,000 per window to enjoy a lifetime solution and beautiful product. Because we’re locally owned, we don’t carry the heavy costs that Renewal has; no sales commissions, franchise fees, bloated overhead, or massive marketing budgets on YouTube and Google. Those costs ultimately get passed on to customers, while our streamlined structure lets us deliver the same top-tier quality at a fairer price.

Second, when you work with us you’re working directly with the owners and our in-house installation team. We’re not a global franchise; we’re a family-owned business invested in our community. That means we help you choose the right products, handle the installation ourselves, and stay connected throughout the entire process. You’ll never be handed off to subcontractors; you’re dealing with the same team from start to finish.

Third, we offer unmatched installation expertise. Our lead installer is widely regarded as the #1 installer in Houston, with the capability to take on challenges Renewal often won’t; like expanding an opening, turning a window into a door, or tackling complex custom fits. We’ve been doing this for over 30 years, and our skillset ensures every project is done right, no matter how unique.

And finally, while we are an authorized Andersen carrier just like Renewal, we don’t limit ourselves to one product line. We think Fibrex is a great product, but it’s not the only solution. We carry a range of premium brands, and because of our cost structure, we can even offer Fibrex windows at a lower price than Renewal by Andersen; with the same product quality, better installation, and better service.

The i-Window difference: premium products without inflated prices, locally owned service with in-house crews, and Houston’s best installation team; all focused on delivering true value without compromise.

At i-Window Remodeling, we offer solutions across every price point, from budget-friendly options to premium, long-lasting products. The difference is that even our most affordable windows come with a higher-quality installation and service than competitors like Window World. While both companies can provide lower-cost products, Window World is typically geared toward quick, temporary fixes such as flip homes or properties where the owner doesn’t plan to stay long. In contrast, i-Window delivers lasting value, energy efficiency, and professional, white-glove installation; no matter the budget.

Where we really stand apart is in the quality of our process and service. Every project is handled by our own in-house crews, not subcontractors, so customers know exactly who is in their home. Our installations include details competitors often skip, such as spray-foam insulation for maximum weatherproofing, careful removal and re-installation of blinds, moving and protecting furniture, and a full cleanup afterward. This level of care not only extends the life and performance of your windows but also ensures your home looks as good – or better – when we leave as it did when we arrived.

Think of it like the difference between a car built simply to get you from point A to B versus one engineered for comfort, reliability, and long-term performance. Both may cost around the same upfront, but one delivers a much better driving experience and holds its value over time. That’s the i-Window difference: value without compromise — better products, better installs, and better service across all price ranges.

At i-Window Remodeling, installation time can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. Many jobs can be completed in a day, but we don’t believe in rushing just to check a box. Unlike some companies that rely on subcontractors, we use our own in-house crews; led by the #1 rated installer in Houston, so you know your project is handled by experts who take accountability for the work.

Every home is different, and sometimes we encounter unique challenges, especially in houses that are 50, 70, or even 100 years old. In those cases, our team takes the time to carefully address issues, explain each step of the process to the homeowner, and make sure the installation is done right. Our focus is quality over speed, delivering windows and doors that are not only beautiful on day one but also built to last for decades.

For most Houston homeowners, the cost of a premium remodeling-grade white double-hung or picture window; fully installed, typically falls between $1,000 and $1,500 per window. That’s the right ballpark for a long-lasting, energy-efficient solution that balances performance, style, and value.

That said, pricing depends on the application and materials. If you’re flipping a home and need a more temporary or budget-friendly solution, the cost can be as low as $550 per window installed. Manufacturers also occasionally run promotions that we can extend to our customers when available.

On the other end, if you’re looking for impact-rated products for TDI compliance or a wood-clad design to preserve the character of a historic home, some specialty windows may run closer to $3,000–$4,000 each.

At i-Window Remodeling, we pride ourselves on giving you options. Whether you want the most affordable flip-grade window or a premium architectural solution, we’ll never upsell something you don’t need. Our approach is built on honesty, integrity, and delivering true value without compromise.

Use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to clean the glass and frames. Avoid harsh chemicals. Give us a call (even if you didn’t purchase through us) and we’re happy to walk you through the process. We will treat you like a neighbor!

Yes, every window series we offer is designed to reduce heat loss and improve home energy savings. In fact, our Simonton window won the #1 energy efficient window in US for multiple years between 1999 and 2025!

We offer lifetime warranty (and sometimes transferable depending on the grade). Our warranties cover frame, glass, paint, lock and other key components. Depending on the product, we also offer labor warranty. In addition to the manufacturer warranty (which matters significantly), we also offer craftsmanship warranty and are always available to support – we live in Houston and you have our address!

Yes, homes in Pearland fall under the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) windstorm requirements, which means you’ll need to meet specific standards to obtain a WPI-8 certification. There are two main ways to comply:

  1. Impact windows/doors: The simplest option. If you purchase TDI-approved impact-rated products, you get automatic WPI-8 approval. These products are designed to withstand high winds and flying debris, giving you peace of mind with less red tape.

  2. Non-impact windows with protection: You can also install wind-rated windows that meet the minimum Design Pressure (DP) rating for the area, but you’ll need to pair them with an approved shutter system (or even plywood). This route is more complex; inspectors will check details like shutter approvals, anchor types, and fastener sizes, and every piece has to line up correctly to pass.

When it comes to debris testing, you’ll hear about Missile C vs. Missile D ratings. Not every home requires Missile D (stricter testing, usually coastal/high-exposure zones). In many cases, Missile C is fully compliant; it depends on your home’s location and whether the opening is on the first floor vs. second floor.

It’s not just Pearland; other nearby communities we serve, such as Friendswood, Webster, Clear Lake, Manvel, Alvin, Dickinson, and League City, all fall under the same TDI rules. Upstairs vs. downstairs openings can also affect what’s required, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all answer.

The good news: most of our products; whether Simonton, MI, Andersen, or others; already meet the minimum DP ratings required by TDI. Always ask your contractor to show you the product certification, with the exact approval number that will go on the inspector’s report. Both Florida Product Approvals and TDI Reports are commonly accepted in this region. If you can’t find your product on the TDI website, don’t panic; it’s common. In those cases, your inspector or the manufacturer can provide confirmation.

At i-Window Remodeling, we make this process easy. We provide free consultations, in person or over the phone, to help you understand your options and choose what’s right for your home. Even if you’re not ready to buy yet, we’re always glad to share our knowledge and help homeowners navigate the TDI process with confidence.

Both SHGC and U-Factor are energy performance ratings for windows, but they measure different things.

  • SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient): This number tells you how much solar heat passes through the window. The lower the SHGC, the less heat comes in. In hot, sunny climates like Texas, keeping heat out is critical for comfort and energy savings. An SHGC in the 0.22 to 0.26 range is ideal for our region and most windows meet this standard. Many of the products we carry at i-Window Remodeling from brands like Simonton, MI, and Andersen can achieve SHGC values below 0.18, giving homeowners even greater efficiency during long, hot summers.

  • U-Factor: This measures how well a window prevents heat from escaping in the winter. The lower the U-Factor, the better the insulation. Some people refer to U-Factor as the opposite of R-value (where higher R means better insulation). Most quality residential windows today fall between 0.25 and 0.40 U-Factor. U-Factor is most critical in colder northern climates, but at i-Window Remodeling we make sure every product balances both ratings for year-round comfort.

Performance Drivers:
Energy efficiency is influenced by the glass package and the window material.

  • Glass package: The number of panes (double or triple), the number of Low-E coatings applied, and the quality of the gas fill all make a difference.

  • Gas fill: Most of our windows are insulated with argon gas at a 95% fill rate. This is a standard we are proud of since many competitors fall short. We also offer krypton gas options, though we do not recommend krypton for 99% of applications because it rarely adds enough value in our Texas climate to justify the cost.

  • Material: Vinyl, fiberglass, wood-clad, and composite frames all impact efficiency, durability, and cost. We guide homeowners to the right fit based on their goals and budget.

Bottom line: In Texas, prioritize an SHGC around 0.22 to 0.26 (or even lower if you want maximum heat protection). Pair that with a solid U-Factor in the 0.25 to 0.40 range and a strong glass package, and you will enjoy energy savings, comfort, and long-term performance. At i-Window Remodeling, we take the guesswork out by recommending products that hit these targets so you get value without compromise.
